LOS ANGELES – On September 1, Fight of Your Life Communications (FOYL) agreed to terms with mixed martial arts (MMA) star Alberto Crane. FOYL will provide public & media relations services for Crane as he continues his fight career, as well as for the gym he owns, Legacy Mixed Martial Arts Academy, which is located in Encino, CA.
“I’m excited. I’m a big believer in what quality PR can do, and I feel comfortable with Fight of Your Life facilitating that for us. I know they’ll help me reach some of my goals as a fighter outside of the cage,” said Crane.
Crane holds an impressive MMA record of 12-4, having fought battles in the Ultimate Fighting Championship against the likes of Roger Huerta and Kurt Pellegrino. He is also a former lightweight champion for both the King of the Cage and Ring of Fire fight promotions.
“Crane was a fighter we targeted. With his experience in the UFC, and wins in four of his last five fights, we believe his career is on the uptick,” said FOYL owner, Phil Lanides.
Recognized as one of the world’s top jiu-jitsu players, Crane sports a decorated list of accomplishments, having been a three-time Brazilian National Jiu-Jitsu Champion, as well as owning a gold medal in the black belt division from the 2002 World Jiu-Jitsu Championships.
Crane has more than a decade worth of teaching experience, and is currently channeling that knowledge into his students at the Encino-based Legacy Mixed Martial Arts Academy, alongside world-class jiu-jitsu instructor Romulo Barral. Under Crane’s and Barral’s guidance, hundreds of students have trained and advanced their game in jiu-jitsu, mixed martial arts, wrestling, and Muay Thai.
